PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace for an animal which is easily attached to the animal and is fit to the body shape thereof, fixes or limits movements of the knee joint, and is held by the animal so as not to be easily removed. SOLUTION: The brace for the animal holds a knee brace part 20 for prohibiting or limiting bending and stretching of the knee part while connecting the knee brace part to a trunk attachment part 30, In the brace, the trunk attachment part 30 includes: a back part attachment part 31 placed on the back side from near the root of a head part toward a buttocks part; and a connection parts 32 of a back part attachment part for attaching the back part attachment part to the trunk adjacent to forefeet, the knee brace part 20 includes: a thigh attachment part 21 placed in a cylindrical manner around the lower thigh; a lower thigh attachment part 22 placed in a cylindrical manner around the thigh; and a jointing member 23 provided with jointing parts 23a and 23b bridging and joining the thigh attachment part 21 and the lower thigh attachment part 22 and a hinge part 23c formed at a position corresponding to the knee joint. The brace includes a connection part 24 for the thigh attachment part which freely removably engages the thigh attachment part 21 with a rear end of the back part attachment part 31 to connect them together.
