<p>The invention relates to a compound derived from Burkholderia ambifaria and derivatives thereof that are active against microbes that show resistance to known antimicrobial agents. The compounds have the general formula (1) and are active against at least one bacterium selected from Burkholderia species, Pseudomonas species, Ralstonia species, Acinetobacter species, Stenotrophomonas species, Escherchia coli strain, Staphylococcus species, Enterococcus species, Mycobacterium species, Bacillus species, Corynehacterium species and Micrococcus species, and/or at least one fungus selected from: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Candida albicans and Basidiomycete.</p> |
