The assembly has two carriages (W1, W2) forming a carriage unit (W) that comprises a traction power converter (TSR), motor bogies (TD), chargeable power supply block (EVB) and a control device (SK) for routing the carriage unit. The carriages are permanently coupled together by a close coupling (K), where the carriage unit is coupled with the adjacent carriages by an automatic coupling (A). The carriage unit is assembled using a center coach, and traction components of the carriage unit are supplied with energy over the carriages.
