SHORT DETECTION CIRCUIT FOR POWER SWITCH

PURPOSE: A disconnection detecting circuit of a power switch is provided to disconnect the output terminal of the power switch from an applied voltage or a ground without using a reference voltage, thereby stably detecting disconnection even though a large amount of currents suddenly is inputted to the power switch. CONSTITUTION: A disconnection detecting circuit includes a first switch(330), a voltage change detecting unit(340), and a second switch(350). The first switch is connected to a power switch to perform on/off operations. The voltage change detecting unit detects a voltage change between the applied voltage of the power switch and a current input unit of the first switch. The second switch performs on/off operations based on a voltage change which is detected by a voltage change detecting unit. A disconnection detecting circuit detects whether the output terminal of the power switch is disconnected based on on/off operations of the second switch.
