METHOD OF CHANGING VERSION OF SOFTWARE AND APPARATUS PERFORMING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for changing software version and service providing device performing the same are provided to change a version of software while minimizing stop of a service and effectively uses the resources by converting software data according to a metadata for data conversion. CONSTITUTION: A first driving unit(210) provides a service by using software of a first version which is driven from a first OS(Operating System). A metadata applier(218) converts data which is compatible to the software of the first version into data which is compatible to the software of the second version according to the metadata for data conversion. A second driving unit(220) provides a service by using software of a second version which is driven in a second OS and data which is compatible to the software of the second version.
