PURPOSE: A gate driving circuit and a display device having the same are provided to drive selectively a gate driving circuit in forward direction or reverse direction by changing the operation mode of first and second mode varying units. CONSTITUTION: In a gate driving circuit and a display device having the same, a pull-up portion(230) outputs the first level voltage of a first clock signal to the output signal of an n-stage. A first mode change unit(210) applies a first direction signal to the controller of the pull-up portion. The second mode change unit(250) applies a second directional signal to the controller of the pull-up portion.
