PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system 10 capable of reducing missing of communication data when a wireless LAN terminal 14 performs handover to an access point 20 belonging to a different segment. SOLUTION: The communication system 10 accumulates communication data addressed to the wireless LAN terminal 14 until a new IP address is assigned to the wireless LAN terminal 14 and communication can be re-started when the access point 20 receives an assignment request from the wireless LAN terminal 14 and a call of the wireless LAN terminal 14 is maintained.
