Extracting hood and method for controlling the same

The hood (1) has an aspiration ventilator (3) ventilating fume of cooking. A control unit controls under operation of the ventilator that comprises a motor (4) and a turbine (5). The control unit controls flow of air aspired by the ventilator to a value of air flow by control of the motor along successive acceleration and deceleration ramps of the motor. The control unit controls a driving phase of free wheel rotation of the motor located at the deceleration ramp of the control of the motor. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a hood for a cooking fume.
