PURPOSE: A tool gripper and a tool changer having the same are provided to reduce volume and improve the operation reliability by simplifying the configuration of a device. CONSTITUTION: A tool gripper comprises a tool holder(52), a linear drive member(54), and a support base(53). The tool holder has a tool inserting hole and a gripping member. The end of a tool is inserted into the tool inserting hole. The gripping member grips the tool end. The linear drive member transfers the tool holder in a straight line toward a tool rack(30). The support base supports the tool holder and linear drive member. The support base is fixed to a moving stage(19).
