<p>A replacement furniture glide 10 includes a shell assembly 14 and a foot assembly 12; the shell assembly 14 includes an upper portion forming a chamber 20 adapted to receive a conventional furniture glide 22 affixed to a furniture leg and a lower portion which extends downward from the upper portion; the shell assembly 14 is divided vertically into multiple sections 62, 64; the foot assembly 12 includes a mounting member consisting of an upwardly extending cavity which receives the shell assembly lower portion and locks the shell assembly lower portions together and a lower floor engagement member that is connected to the mounting member; withdrawing the shell assembly lower portion from the foot assembly mounting member cavity unlocks the shell assembly sections.</p> |
