发明名称 Improvements in or relating to the low temperature reduction of oxidic iron ores
摘要
792,926. Reducing iron oxides. HAKEN,K. VON, and HAHN, J. B. Oct, 12. 1955 [Oct. 13, 1954; June 10, 1955], No. 29111/55. Class 72 A process for the production of pure iron from brown magnetic iron oxide comprises intimately mixing the finely divided oxide with a carbonaceous reducing agent while both oxide and reducing agent are maintained in suspension in a current of carbon monoxide containing reducing gas at 350-540‹C. As shown, fine magnetic iron oxide is injected by a reducing gas from a hopper 15 through nozzles 14, situated above the lowest layer of a series of dust separators 13, on to the topmost layer of a series of channels 16. Carbon dust from hoppers 22 is injected into pipes 24, through valves 20 which are opened intermittently by means of a chain gear 21, lying in the channels 16. The ore and reducing agent fall on to the lower channels and finally, after falling from the lowermost channel, pass through a zone heated to 700‹C. and into which are injected soda and lime dust from a hopper 31, to form a thin skin of clinker and gangue on the iron particles. The material passes through a cooler 25 to reduce the temperature to 100‹C. and is removed from the furnace through a pipe 26. The iron oxide may be pelleted with reducing agent and iron compounds other than brown magnetic oxide may be added in amount double that of the magnetic oxide; in the latter case the product from the furnace is subjected to further reduction without cooling at a temperature up to 640‹C.
