DENSITY-MATCHED SUSPENSIONS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS

A suspension comprising: a suspending liquid comprising a hydrophobic liquid, wherein the hydrophobic liquid hydrolyzes when placed in contact with an aqueous fluid to form one or more hydrophilic product; and a solid particle suspended in the suspending liquid, wherein the suspension is a density-matched suspension is disclosed herein. The specific gravity of the suspending liquid may be within about 5% of the specific gravity of the solid particle. A cement composition comprising: a cement; water; and a suspension according to the invention is also disclosed.
