The lighting device has a flat support (1) with an upper flat side (1o) and a lower side (1u) for receiving a lighting unit (3) in chambers (5), where the chambers are distributed along the upper flat side and are opened to a side. The chambers are laid between the upper flat side and the lower side. The lighting unit is controlled over power connectors (6) for connecting the lighting unit in the chambers. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a lighting device.
