A METER HAVING AN ULTRASONIC MEASUREMENT CELL OF THE STANDARDIZED CAPSULE TYPE

PURPOSE: A meter having an ultrasonic measuring cell of standard capsule type is provided to reduce head loss caused by the sudden increase of flow section. CONSTITUTION: A meter includes an adapter part(6) for mounting a capsule type ultrasonic measuring cell(1) having a measurement channel(1A) in which ultrasonic sensors(1B) are fitted in a vessel(3). An inlet pipe(3A) and an outlet pipe(3B) are aligned in a straight line and directly opened to the inside of the vessel. The adaptor part respectively connects the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe to the inlet and outlet of the measurement channel through a first tubular bent channel(6A) which is connected to the outlet of the inlet pipe and the inlet of the measurement channel and a second tubular channel(6B) which is connected to the inlet of the outlet pipe and the outlet of the measurement channel.
