<p>A method and system for determining if a communication message has been transmitted, is being transmitted or is being created for transmission and in response; identifying a source of contextual information, generating a contextual filter, applying the contextual filter to the identified source to retrieve contextual information, formatting/conditioning the retrieved information and presenting it with the communication message. The message and context information may be in different media formats. The extra information may be a contextual summary which is accessed when a user selects/answers/opens/transfers the message. The contextual information is one of email, voice message, SMS archive, call log or any context information cache/store. A relevancy score based on matching of filter parameters and information is used to rank and set top results for inclusion. The context information may be generated multiple times, e.g. once during creation of message, and a second time after message has been sent. This may result in different contextual information being available to the sender and receiver. The source of contextual information may be a database of speech-to-text data.</p> |
