FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to treatment of benign solid nodular formations of thyroid gland. Destruction of central part of nodule with further introduction of ethanol into nodule and aspiration if its excess. Destruction is carried out by impact of alternating electromagnetic field, by means of conductors, including those with microthermocouples, with frequency 460 kHz, power 100-150 W and achieving temperature in zone of impact 100-105 degrees Celcius within 2.5-3.5 minutes. After that, in peripheral part of nodule tissue 95-96% ethamol is introduced, whose volume is calculated by formula: Vethanol= (Vnodule-4/3ù(ÇR3))ùK, where Vethanol is volume of ethanol introduced into peripheral part of nodule; Vnodule is nodule volume, Ç-3,14; R - is radius of zone of conductor opening; K= 0.3 is coefficient of filling nodule with ethanol. ^ EFFECT: being efficient, method can be used as alternative to surgery in patients with colloidal nodules of thyroid gland, accompanied by syndromes of neck organs compression and/or autonomous dysfunction of nodule tissue with development of thyreotoxicosis, ensuring at the same time normalisation of thyroid status and high safety of impact. ^ 1 ex |
