FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves (co)polymerisation of butadiene in the presence of a catalyst based on a rare-earth element and organoaluminium compounds followed by treatment of the (co)polymer with a modifying agent. The modifying agent used is xanthates.
