PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow columnar reinforcing structure for firmly reinforcing the ground level of the hollow column, and a hollow columnar reinforcing method using the reinforcing structure. SOLUTION: A plurality of reinforcing bar-like members comprising aramid rods 3 and PC steel wires 5 constituting a reinforcing assembly, are surrounded and bundled on their circumference with a plurality of vinyl bands 9 at a plurality of positions in the longitudinal direction, to be fixed integrally. A plurality of reinforcing rings 11 are disposed along the inner circumferential surface of the hollow column 1 so as to surround the plurality of reinforcing bar-like members on the ground level as the reinforcing portion of the hollow column 1, and are tightly arranged so as to cover the predetermined region centering around the ground level, reinforcing the ground level of the hollow column 1.
