PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power and to elongate the service life of a display section while ensuring user's safety by setting a time long to switch off temperature display when a set temperature is high. SOLUTION: The water heater (hot water supply system) includes a hot water storage tank, a temperature setting means for setting the temperature of hot water supplied from the hot water storage tank, the display section 100 for displaying a temperature set by the temperature setting means, a display control unit for switching off the temperature display on the display section 100 when a device is not used over a prescribed time, and a standby time changing means for changing a standby time (10 minutes, 50 minutes) to switch off the temperature display on the display section 100 according to the temperature (40°C, 60°C) set by the temperature setting means.
