PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: the frequency of access to a communication card is increased when a digital camera or the like displays various parameters on a screen. SOLUTION: When data to be displayed can be transmitted by a memory card with communication function, an inquiry is made to the memory card with communication function, and data display is controlled based on a result of the inquiry.
