PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method which enhances the image processing efficiency. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 includes an optical system 10, an imaging element 20, and an image processing portion 30. An optical wavefront modulation element 10a is inserted into the optical system 10. The imaging element 20 images a subject image passing the optical system 10 and converts an analog image into a digital image. The image processing portion 30 performs image processing of the subject image by an inverse filter. In this case, an area where the filter intensity of the inverse filter is higher than a set threshold value is used as an arithmetic area, and image processing limiting the arithmetic area is performed.
