PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detect a device that provides a communication parameter. SOLUTION: When a network search signal for searching a peripheral network is transmitted and a response signal for the signal is received, it is determined whether a device having transmitted the response signal is a device that provides a communication parameter for communication on a predetermined network. If the device having transmitted the response signal is not the above providing device as a result of determination, a providing device search signal with information for searching the providing device is transmitted to a channel which has received the response signal, and the device having transmitted the response signal is determined as a providing device if the response signal for the providing device search signal is received.
