PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to allow a user to schedule an operation of a machine tool in different operation modes in a simple method so as to optimize energy and safety, while contributing to energy saving and enhancement of safety during the operation of the machine tool.

SOLUTION: The operation functional control device of the machine tool includes: a device 2 for switching on or off a main power supply; at least one device 3 for determining the off-time of the operational function of the machine tool in accordance with a selectable standard.
