PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking facility capable of preventing damage to/falling of an article when an article collecting vessel becomes full in the middle of collecting the articles, in the picking facility having an input device. SOLUTION: The volume of the article in the article collecting vessel 15 is detected by a volume sensor 53, and whether or not the article collecting vessel 15 is full with the articles is determined by the detected volume, and when determining as being full, whether or not input of the article to the article collecting vessel 15 is expected is determined by an automatic input device 31 of a zone 12 downstream of the volume sensor 53, and when the input is expected, the input of the article by the automatic input device 31 is stopped. Thus, risk of damage caused in the article when the automatic input device 31 contacts with the full articles and falling of the article to the outside of the article collecting vessel 15 caused by automatic input operation of the articles from the automatic input device 31, is eliminated.
