PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for encapsulating drugs and other agents into liposomes using metal-based techniques. SOLUTION: There is provided the method of loading liposomes with an agent, comprising the following steps: (i) a step of preparing the liposomes containing encapsulated transition metal ions, such as Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, V, Ti, Cr, Rh, Ru, or Mo; and (ii) a step of adding the agent to the external solution of the liposomes so that the agent is encapsulated in the liposomes.
