PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device suitable for improving the deterioration of image quality caused by leakage generated in a solid imaging element. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: the solid state imaging element having a color filter so as to take a color image of a subject; and an image generating part for processing an imaging signal to be output from the solid imaging element so as to generate a color image to be displayed on a monitor and also the part for performing, and performing pixel value change removal calculation for removing a pixel value change due to optical or electrical color mixture, which reaches peripheral pixels by the respective pixels of the solid state imaging element, before prescribed visual sensitivity correction processing is performed.
