METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SEGMENTING DATA IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BASED ON CARRIER AGGREGATION

A method and device for segmenting data at the media access control (MAC) layer in a sending device of a wireless communication system which is based on carrier aggregation technique are provided in the present invention. Firstly, one or multiple component carriers for transmitting the data on the logical channel are scheduled for each logical channel, and the total data amount transmitted on all the scheduled component carriers is determined. Secondly, according to the total data amount transmitted on all the component carriers scheduled for each logical channel, in a transmission time interval, a new radio link control layer (RLC) protocol data unit (PDU) is generated separately for all the component carriers scheduled for each logical channel. Finally, a new RLC PDU from each logical channel is mapped to one or multiple component carriers in order to be transmitted, wherein the carriers are scheduled for the logical channel. Correspondingly, a method and device for recomposing data at the MAC layer in a receiving device of a wireless communication system which is based on carrier aggregation technique are provided in the present invention. A method and device for segmenting data at the RLC layer are also provided.
