PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish an imaging apparatus, an image recording device and a program therefor in which accuracy in erasing image data can be improved. SOLUTION: When a still image photography mode is set, through-image display is performed till a shutter button is pressed (S51, S52:N). When the shutter button is pressed, still image photography processing is performed, and obtained photographic image data are stored in a buffer memory. It is then determined whether or not a flash memory 13 has a free capacity for recording photographic images stored in the buffer memory (S54) and if it is determined that there is no free capacity in the flash memory 13, on the basis of erasure priorities recorded in association with image files recorded in a trash-box folder, an image file with a top erasure priority is selected and the selected image file is automatically erased (S55).
