PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevents deterioration in image quality due to ozone produced at charging, and forms a high-quality image over a long term. SOLUTION: An inlet port for introducing air and an exhaust port for exhausting air are provided, on the back plate and on the side plate of an charging device, respectively, and by sending air into the charging device by a sent-air source and an exhaust part, air flow that carries ozone into the charging device is formed.
