PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology that provides a capacitor having a larger capacity while suppressing leakage current. SOLUTION: An electrode for the capacitor is equipped with: a substrate 5 for anode; and a porous layer 6 provided on the substrate 5 and comprising any of Ni, Ru, Rh, Pd, Te, Re, Os, Ir, Pt, AU, alloy containing these elements, and silicon.
