PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and program for reading a visiting card which make a computer surely determine an error of contents of identification items, with respect to identification items constituting visiting card information acquired by reading a visiting card with OCR software. SOLUTION: The method and program for reading a visiting card determine whether or not an error is included in contents of identification items constituting visiting card information acquired by reading the visiting card with OCR software by utilizing information on the WEB or a database or the like provided in the computer.
