PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously attain both speeding up of processing and reduction in the environmental load. SOLUTION: A money processor is configured, such that a mode changeover unit changes over an operation mode between a first mode to drive a carrying path at a first carrying speed and a second mode to drive the carrying path, at a second carrying speed slower than the first carrying speed, and that a drive control unit drives the carrying path at the carrying speed corresponding to the operation mode changed over by the mode change-over unit.
