An image processing device includes a band processing circuit that generates image signals in a plurality of frequency bands from an image signal including an array of color signals corresponding to a plurality of colors and that synthesizes the image signals in the frequency bands so as to suppress noise; a sampling circuit that generates image signals for each color by sampling the image signal output from the band processing circuit along a predetermined array; and a brightness/color generating circuit that generates brightness signals by suppressing aliasing signals in the image signals output from the sampling circuit.
