The lamp has a cylindrical lamp vessel (1) comprising filter mediums that are formed in such a manner that the lamp emits white light with purple tone during operation. The filter mediums are formed as coating (12) i.e. dip coating, on the lamp vessel, and the light from a short-wave spectral region of purple light has less intense absorption than light from other longer-wave spectral regions. The coating as absorption filters is formed and consists of purple colored pigments, and coating extends over outer or upper surface of the lamp vessel.
