<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buff apparatus for retreaded tires, which can prevent reliably scattering of buff powder produced in cutting the outer peripheral surface of a tire without formation of the gap between a grinder and the outer peripheral surface of the tire, independent of sizes of the tire in the width direction and movement of the grinder in the width direction of the tire and allows smooth movement of a tire after completion of cutting. <P>SOLUTION: The buff apparatus for retreaded tires is for removing the outer peripheral surface of a rotating tire and includes a grinder facing a tire to cut the outer peripheral surface of the tire and a right and a left scattering-preventing member which are arranged around the grinder, estranged mutually in the radial direction of the tire and estranged, in the width direction of the tire, from an upper and a lower scattering-preventing member in contact with the tire and come in contact with the tire.
