<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for predicting the generation amount of electricity of a photovoltaic power generator, with which the generation amount of electricity of the photovoltaic power generator is accurately predicted at an optional location. <P>SOLUTION: The system for predicting the generation amount of electricity of the photovoltaic power generator using electronic computers 1, 2 calculates cloud water particle size distribution by simulating a physical meteorological model regarding vapor content in atmosphere and clouds, based on meteorological prediction data 5, calculates light transmittance data of clouds at the prediction location of the generation amount of electricity, based on the cloud water particle size distribution, calculates spectral data of reaching the ground at the prediction location based on the light transmittance data of clouds, calculates spectral solar radiance, based on the spectral data, and predicts the generation amount of electricity according to the photovoltaic power generator to be installed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
