PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle reproducing device for properly setting a parental level without annoying a user, and a reproduction control method of the in-vehicle reproducing device. SOLUTION: When content reproduction instruction is input, the in-vehicle reproducing device performs: a locating process which locates the current position (step S1); a setting process which specifies an area including the located current position, reads a parental level corresponding to the area from a storage part which stores the parental level for each area, and sets the parental level (steps S2-S196); and the reproduction process which reproduces the content or sets parental control based on the set parental level (steps S15, S16 and S21).
