PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing box that reduces a burden of a boxing article. SOLUTION: The packing box includes: four side plates 3 serving as reinforcement plate materials, and extending upward from the corresponding sides of a rectangular bottom plate 1 with the side plates 3 covered with a lid 5 from the opposite side of the bottom plate. The bottom plate includes: projections 9a and 9b fixed to at least three sides of the rectangular base material 7 so as to project upward beyond the upper surface of the base material; and a first plate material 11 stuck to the base material so that sides of its rectangular shape are located inside corresponding sides of the base material to define first empty spaces X between the corresponding projections and these sides. The lid includes a frame plate 35 bent along sides of the rectangular top plate 33 and extending downward from the top plate; and a second plate material 37 stuck to the top plate so that the sides of its rectangular shape are located inside internal faces of the frame plate to define second empty spaces Y between the frame plate and these sides. The side plates are formed so that vertical edges of the adjacent side plates are connected by connecting members. Each of the side plates is sandwiched between the bottom plate and the lid so that its lower end and upper end are supported in the first empty space and the second empty space, respectively.
