PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly set the door opening-closing starting timing, by taking into consideration even time when a passenger removes a cargo from a cargo hook, in an elevator device having the cargo hook in a car. SOLUTION: This elevator device includes a limit switch 6 for detecting the use state of the cargo hook 4, and a control panel 7 for performing door closing operation when a predetermined door closing condition is satisfied after opening a door when the car 1 stops in a landing hall. When the limit switch 6 detects that the cargo is removed from the cargo hook 4 when the car 1 stops in the landing hall and the door is opened, the control panel 7 performs the door closing operation after a predetermined time passes after the door closing condition is satisfied and the limit switch 6 detects that the cargo is removed.
