PURPOSE: A 3D image display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve display quality of a 3D image and the durability of a 3D image display filter by forming a protection layer which protects barriers. CONSTITUTION: A 3D image display device includes a combination member(300), a display panel(100), and a 3D image display filter(200). The display panel displays images. The 3D image display filter is combined with the display panel and implements a 3D image. The combination member combines the display panel with the 3D image display filter. The 3D image display filter includes a base substrate(210), a plurality of barriers(220), and a protection layer(230). The plurality of barriers is separated on the base substrate. The protection layer is arranged on the base substrate and the barriers.
