<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a shape in the vicinity of a joint surface with a cylinder head while suppressing a loss of thermal energy of exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: This multi-cylinder engine 1 includes: a cylinder block 3 having a plurality of cylinders 2; the cylinder head 4 having a plurality of exhaust ports 24 respectively connected to one cylinder 2; and an exhaust manifold 6 having a manifold-side exhaust gas collecting chamber 22c for collecting exhaust gas discharged from the plurality of exhaust ports 24. The exhaust manifold 6 is configured to have a single manifold-side opening 6b formed in a cylinder head joint surface 6a, and the exhaust gas discharged from the plurality of exhaust ports 24 is led to flow into the manifold-side exhaust gas collecting chamber 22c through the manifold-side opening 6b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
