PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a backward side reduction ratio to be changed without changing a forward side reduction ratio using a common case. SOLUTION: This transmission includes a case body 1, an input shaft unit 5, first and second intermediate shaft units 7, 8, and an idler unit 6. The input shaft unit 5 has an input shaft 12, forward running and rearward running clutches Cf, Cr and a plurality of gears provided on the input shaft 12. The first and second intermediate shaft units 7, 8 have first and second intermediate shafts 22, 24, into which power is inputted via the input shaft 12, and clutches C1 to C4 and a plurality of gears provided on each of the intermediate shafts 22, 24. The idler unit 6 has a support member 14 mounted detachably to the case body 1 and an idler gear G3 supported rotatably on a support member 14 to engage with gears of the input shaft 12 and the first intermediate shaft 22.
