PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a communication control method for suppressing the transmission and reception of unintended data in short range radio communication. SOLUTION: The communication device 1 includes: a communication antenna 7 to execute wireless communication with a counterpart communication device; a communication controller 8; an acceleration sensor 9; an acceleration detector 10; a battery 12; and a battery controller 13. The communication controller 8 cuts off the wireless communication executed by the communication antenna 7 when the communication controller determines that the acceleration measured by the acceleration sensor 9 exceeds a threshold. In addition, the communication controller 8 stops power supply from the battery 12 to the communication antenna 7 when the wireless communication is cut off. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
