PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female terminal fitting, which can sufficiently secure a contact load with a counter male terminal by the spring force of an elastic piece in spite of a reduced size. SOLUTION: The female terminal fitting includes a terminal connecting portion 2 and a wire connecting portion 3 which are formed respectively in substantially cylindrical shapes, and a cutout portion 21 provided on the rear end side from a terminal insert port 20 to receive the elastic piece 4. The elastic piece 4 includes a pair of elastic arm portions 42, 44 which are extended in the axial direction of the terminal connecting portion 2 and overlapped with each other.
