PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press dehydration method for efficiently and easily carrying out dehydration/volume reduction of various kinds of water-containing sludge discharged from various production activities. SOLUTION: In the press dehydration method using a mesh-like bag, at least one auxiliary pressing tool is provided between a pressing upper plate and the mesh-like bag charged with the water-containing sludge and/or between a pressing lower plate and the mesh-like bag to form a water passing space connecting to a side surface and thereby improve the efficiency of dehydration and volume-reduction.
