A plurality of heat transfer tubes (8) are bundled together in order to form a tube group (80), and comprise a circumference section (81) which is disposed so as to leave a slight interval from the inner surface (72) of a heat exchanger case (70), and a first string-shape section (82) which is located further toward the central side in the radial direction of the tube than the arc created by the circumference section (81). The plurality of bundled heat transfer tubes (8) are loaded into a cylindrical core (70) in a manner so that the first string-shape section (82) faces the side of an inner surface (72L) of the cylindrical core whereon a heat exchange medium entrance port (74) is mounted. The flow of heat exchange medium to each heat transfer tube is uniform, thus a heat exchanger capable of achieving high heat exchange performance can be obtained.
