<p>Disclosed is a bird-striking apparatus comprised of a bird-striking rod disposed to the front of a jet engine air inlet, affixed to the exterior of the jet engine, where the area covered by the rotation of the rod is greater than the area of the opening of the jet engine air inlet. A driving apparatus for rotating the rod has a built-in rotational drive source separate from the rotation of the jet engine. This protects the aircraft from bird strikes.</p> |
