The difference between a temperature controlling in an exhaust gas line (4) leading away from a combustion chamber (3) and an obtainable temperature in the respective operating condition of an internal combustion engine (1) stationary in the exhaust gas line is considered while calculating the air-mass flow supplied to the combustion chamber.
