PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver which transmits a TS signal at a correct frequency even by a CI module having a fixed output frequency, and performs decoding without causing loss of data by a microprocessor. SOLUTION: This digital broadcast receiver includes: a front end part for receiving digital broadcast to transmit a TS signal; a module part for decrypting the cipher of the TS signal; a TS signal path selection part for selecting and outputting either of the TS signal outputted by the front end part and the TS signal decrypted by the module part; and a microprocessor part for decoding the TS signal selected by the TS signal path selection part. When first outputting the TS signal from the front end part to the module part, the TS signal is output at a frequency not lower than the highest frequency out of TS frequencies corresponding to a bit rate used in broadcast from the front end part, and thereby the output frequency of the CI module can be set at the highest frequency of receivable broadcast.
