PURPOSE: An automatic feeding system for sows and a method thereof are provided to prevent loss of feed and to reduce labor manpower required for feeding. CONSTITUTION: An automatic feeding system for sows comprises: an RFID tag which transmits an electric wave having characteristic identifying information and is mounted on a fixed position of a sow; an RFID reader which receives an electric wave transmitted from the RFID tag and deciphers the received information; a memory unit in which feeding information is saved; a fixed amount feed supplying device; and a controller controlling the fixed amount feed supplying device.
